gender is a social construct
I drew this project in Adobe Illustrator, utilizing my preferred drawing method—the pen tool. The gradient tool, a crucial element in my artistic approach, created a sense of depth in the 2D space. I animated the illustration with 109 layers in Adobe After Effects.
I changed the scale to make the mountains appear and create a bouncing effect.
I employed masks to conceal the clouds and trees until their positions were adjusted for visibility. Additionally, I applied motion blur to all three elements to simulate movement.
I scaled the house, path, flowers, and mushrooms to make them visible.
I linked the bee's wings to its body through parenting, making it easier to control multiple layers by connecting them to a common parent. I animated the wings independently from the bee's body position. Although I didn't apply parenting to the butterfly, I animated the butterfly and bee by adjusting the scale, position, and z-rotation. To add depth, or the z-axis, I converted them into 3D layers. This transformation allowed the camera movement to extend beyond just left or right, up or down – now, it also involves getting closer or farther away.
To bring the bee's mouth to life with a sense of movement, I manipulated the opacity of three mouth layers of varying sizes.
I drew the final image in Adobe Illustrator using the Blend Tool, which enables the creation of a seamless transition between two objects by evenly distributing shapes.
